How the armoring of vehicles takes place

Thanks to all the measures and characteristics of the models in circulation, stored in the computers of the technical area, it is possible to choose for each model a laser cutting program on special ballistic materials, such as ceramics, carbon steel or Kevlar. Inside the carbody, there are shaped protection elements that are able to adapt to the car body, without decreasing the space inside the vehicle.

To these special high-strength steels are added polycarbonate crystals: from 3 to 5 layers of glass with intermediate plastic films, always maintaining a high transparency of the resulting material. In addition, specific anti-puncture tires are fitted which ensure that sufficient pressure is maintained so that the vehicle can proceed for 80 km at a speed of 80km / h. The weight of these vehicles doubles compared to a traditional car and therefore the sensitive parts, such as gaskets and joints, must adapt to the new mass: acceleration, deceleration, braking and energy dissipation must be maintained as they are to guarantee performance and driving safety.
